Beauty and the Beast - Cancun Style

As many of you are well aware,  Cancun has had rain, rain and more rain.

Hubby sent me this pic, and video... I think it shows Cancuns beauty, and the beast that can be (sometimes)!! LOL!! I just told hubby that we MUST get an SUV or Truck asap....

This sweet video was taken in the Hotel Zone today...... Thanks hubby :))

This shot was provided by hubby as well, courtesy of the Beach Palace webcam; taken at 2:00 pm today JUST before the storm really hit!

What's the weather like where you are? Anything like the tropics?

We are have a beautiful summer in Ontario, the sun goes down at 9pm and its hot and sunny all day long!

Ugh, I haaateee the rain in Cancun, I will have to tell you this one story one day when we meet up, it will give you a good laugh :)

The streets actually turn into rivers there.. I think thats the one thing I do not miss! I think an SUV/Truck is a must for there.. the rain just gets so crazy. Smart thinking :)

Milena - I know you guys are having the BEST summer. Heat wave of sorts, right? I know Montreal was having one...My girlfriend was complaining to me about it.. LOL!! Calgary is nothing but rain, and cloud. LOL. Shitty as usual. LOL.

I have to say that an SUV/Truck is a MUST in Cancun. If not for the rain, for the potholes!! LOL!! I always feel bad for our poor car .... !!!

Oh I have a story for you too about my first hurricane :) So we'll have to trade stories over your grandpas wine one night :)) LOL!!

I feel for everyone in Cancun. The streets are rivers and driving must be a nightmare. My friend recently bought a SUV (just in time for all the rain). He is loving it too (the SUV).

Yes, it is terrible in Cancun right now.... Our poor dog won't even go out to pee :((
Your friend is one smart hombre!! I honestly will be purchasing one as sooooon as we have some moola! Or else we are selling hubbys car to do it...He actually wants to get rid of his car anyways. It is a MUST in Cancun. Can't stress it enough....!!!

hahaha I was just about to say, i'll bring the wine!! lol! We are seriously having an amazing summer.. barely cloudy and so so hot all high 20's - low 30's so its been really good! The good thing is that it stays like this until late September early October! Then its time to head south :P I can't believe your weather has been so bad! :(

LOL .... the potholes, I didn't even think of that one. Yes, a Truck/SUV is a must!!!

Wow! Those storm clouds look vicious! It is hot hot HOT in Texas right now. I think the high today is 107. And it's humid too!

at least the sun is back out today!! and I'm glad the flooding dries up quickly once the rain stops.

My dogs were flipping out with all the thunder last night.

Milena - I know your summer is amazing, and believe me, Western Canada is VERY jealous... LOL!! Can't wait to try the vino!!

Sandra - 107??!! That is nuts - you must have central A/C? I think that would be the only way I could handle that heat!! I'm not sure Cancun ever gets that hot, I mean with humidity index it probably does, but actual air temperature w/out humidity... I'd say never! Who knows? LOL!

Laura - That is one good thing about Cancun, typically the streets are back to normal by the next day.... Unless there is a hurricane...UGGHHH...

Love the photo...it's just amazing!

We bought an SUV while living in Vallarta and as it turns out, GDL is just as bad. :(

Jackie - I'm so happy you loved the photo - I just thought it was incredible!
Uggh.... I hate to say it but I'm thinking all the roads are the same in Mex... When we drove from Cancun to Veracruz, Veracruz 2 years ago... It actually made me appreciate the roads in Cancun, and Quintana Roo.... Man oh man were those roads horrible, and that was on the autopistas the entire way!!!

Oh Boy I remember when I went out there for my senior trip and the taxi man taking us to the hotel after a night of clubbing told us to get off and walk because the street was so flooded that he wasn't going anywhere for hours the water was literally past our ankles. Glad you guys are safe!
