Taking a break....

After moving into the new house last Thursday we have been going non-stop....***inbetween soccer matches***

Today I decided it was time for a break. The weather has been very, very hot, and the humidity is stifling. I swear with all the work in the house we need to take at least 2 showers a day. Anyways, what better way to cool off then to jump into the pool and have a delicious ojo rojo? I mean afterall I live in Cancun. Why not take advantage and do what I'm supposed to be doing...tan all day. Cuz that is all us expats do, right? LOL!!!
Today was the first day I took advantage of jumping in the pool, and decided I needed to work on this non-existent tan of mine. The dogs really enjoyed themselves too.

Anyways, I promised you guys/gals some pics of my home, but all I have uploaded is a pic of the front taken from my Blackberry. However, I am including some pics of my adorable puppies....who are no longer puppies btw. LOL.

Okay, well soccer match is on, and I have to go get some groceries after.

Salut!!!
Hashka's trying to decide...should I, or shouldn't I?

Casas en Cancun

I'm often asked what homes in Mexico are like - Do they have carpet? Do you have dishwashers? Do you have a basement? Etc.... To answer that I can only say that I know what they are like in Cancun and area. With that being said - again, only homes I've been in. Hubby told me that some homes in Northern and Central Mexico could have carpet.... However, in Cancun - that's just not needed. It would be wierd. However, this is coming from someone who wears socks inside all year round.... Maybe I'm wierd.

I just thought I'd take the time to show a few photos of some homes here in Cancun, and talk about a luxury item that we take for granted in places like Canada and the US. Dishwasher.

Not every one has a dishwasher - okay, I mean the electrical kind, and not the maid or ME. For those of you that don't know hubby and I are building a new home in Cancun and that was a TOP priority of mine. I am going to have to say that my experience has been that the majority of homes I've visited have not had these in them. Yes, call me a Princess, but I want one.

Anyways, heres' an inside peak into Cancun. Enjoy!

Casa en renta en Villas del Arte / House for rent in Villas del Arte Cancun!!!!

One of the biggest questions an expat receives is " How much does it cost to live in Mexico", and people are often curious as to just what you can get here for a certain dollar.

Well, that brings me to this post. Mi cunada recently purchased a property here in Cancun, and is renting it. Sooooo - I think some ppl are going to be shocked at what you can get for 7000 MXP /month!!!! (obviously if youre' interested let me know and I can get you in touch, and it's not a vacation rental!!)
This post will be half english, and half spanish!!

Villas del Arte is a new development here in Cancun. It's at the end of Avenida La Luna, and across from Santa Fe Plus.

So for 7000 MXP per month you can get a brand new, never lived in house with : 2 full bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, 2 parking stalls, kitchen w/ gas, laundry area, a/c outlets, garden, and outside wall surrounding the house. I've included some pics for your viewing pleasure!!!

Okay, well that is it folks!!!! I hope that this gives some people a better perspective of just what you can get for about 7000 MXP / month. Of course I'm not getting into the nitty gritty, groceries, gas, water, electricity, car, etc.... I just thought it would be neat for some of you to get an idea!!
Adios!!!
